About the event
Purpose and Objectives
The HSI-NOW Retreat is a dynamic and enriching day designed to bring together colleagues to share insights, strategies, and best practices for enhancing the educational experiences and outcomes of Hispanic students. This retreat fosters collaboration, innovation, and professional development, providing participants with the tools and knowledge necessary to create more inclusive, supportive, serving and effective learning environments.
- Promote Student Retention and Success. Share best practices and innovative approaches to improve student experience to thrive from enrollment, retention, graduation rates, and overall success among Hispanic students at HSIs.
- Foster Collaboration and Networking. Create opportunities for HSI-NOW members to connect, collaborate, and share resources, fostering a strong network of professionals dedicated to advancing the mission of HSIs.
- Subcommittee Strategic Engagement. Fostering a culture of open dialogue, developing actionable strategies, and cooperative problem-solving, the subcommittees will drive impactful initiatives and promote sustained progress towards the HSI-NOW mission.

11:00 a.m. - Various Topics (DEI, Institutional Resources for HSI/aspiring/emerging, campus moral, collaborative grant writing)

1:00p.m. - Committee Breakout session (Education, Advocacy and HSI NOW Website)
2:00 p.m. - Report Out + closing remarks
